Over Killl

El nombre de Overkill representa de la música extrema con una extensa discografía con 15 albumnes, y mas de 30 años de exitosa carrera musical esta banda conforma una institución del ¨Thrash metal¨ de estados unidos. Allá por 1981, la banda comenzó a escribir sus propios temas, después de versionar canciones como "Overkill" de Motörhead o "Tyrant" de Judas Priest. Entre esas canciones destaca 'Unleash The Beast Within', una de las primeras canciones de thrash metal de la historia, precediendo a 'Hit The Lights' de Metallica tan sólo en unos meses.

La formación se mantuvo estática hasta 1987, cuando Rat Skates deja la banda, entrando en su lugar Sid Falck. Esta formación se disuelve de nuevo en 1990, siendo reemplazado Bobby Gustafson por dos nuevos hachas del mástil, Rob Cannavino y Merritt Gant, los cuales en 1995 dejarían las guitarras en manos de Joe Comeau y Sebastian Marino, para dar lugar en 1999 a Dave Linsk en detrimento de Joe Comeau y en 2000 a Derek Tailer en lugar de Sebastian Marino. Por otro lado, la batería ocupada por Sid Falck, fue reemplazada por Tim Mallare durante 13 años (1992-2005), acabando actualmente en las baquetas de Ron Lipnicki.

Fundada en 1991 comenzó como una banda de death metal, período durante el cual graban el demo Progressive (1994). Posteriormente, Asis Nasseri, líder y compositor de la banda, además de guitarrista, vocalista y percusionista clásico, decide evolucionar, y siendo ya una agrupación de 16 músicos, lanzan el álbum And Thou Shalt Trust... The Seer, basado en la vida y obra de Michel de Nôtre-Dame, en los días de la peste negra.
En el año 2000, con 21 integrantes y un estilo claramente definido, es lanzado Awaking the Centuries, que conserva la temática del disco anterior, y cuya gira concluyó con la producción de Awaking The Gods, concierto grabado en México.

Para el año 2004 la banda saca a la venta el álbum Eppur Si Muove, inspirado en la vida de Galileo Galilei y su situación tras apoyar el modelo heliocéntrico.

Su más reciente disco, Tales of Ithiria, salió a la venta el 29 de agosto del 2008. Este cuenta acerca de una tierra imaginaria llamada Ithiria, la cual es presa de guerras y devastación.

El grupo canta en varios idiomas, como latín, alemán, inglés, italiano, español y en su segundo álbum de

estudio, Awaking the centuries, se pueden apreciar diferentes construcciones líricas en francés.

Deicide

Deicide es una banda estadounidense de Death metal liderada por el bajista y cantante Glen Benton. La polémica ha acompañado a la banda desde sus inicios, dado lo explícito de sus letras anticristianas y satánicas y por varias declaraciones y hechos diversos llevados a cabo por su líder Glen Benton, ocasionando la prohibición de tocar en varios países.

Deicide fue formado en Tampa, Florida en 1987, primero tocaban bajo el nombre de Carnage. Después de que Glen Benton entrara a la banda, esta cambió el nombre a Amon. Durante este tiempo la banda realizó 2 demos: Amon, Feasting the Beast (1987) (Thrash metal) y Sacrificial Suicide (1989) (Proto-death metal). En 1989 la banda cambia el nombre a Deicide por sugerencia de su discográfica Roadrunner Records, Amon era el nombre de la casa en la portada deldisco de King Diamond, Them. Deicide lanzó su álbum homónimo debut en 1990.

La formación original de la banda consistía en Glen Benton como vocalista y bajista, los hermanos Eric Hoffman y Brian Hoffman en las guitarras, y Steve Asheim en la batería. Juntos, los hermanos Hoffman solían tocar solos muy técnicos y a gran velocidad con riffs traslapados, lo que le dio a Deicide un sonido bastante pesado y unas complejas estructuras en las canciones. Esta formación se mantuvo intacta hasta el 25 de noviembre del 2004, cuando los hermanos Hoffman dejan la banda y son reemplazados por Jack Owen (ex-Cannibal Corpse), y Dave Suzuki de Vital Remains. Siguiente a un tour, Suzuki fue reemplazado por Ralph Santolla (Ex-Death, Iced Earth y Sebastian Bach). Santolla declaró ser católico lo que provocó algo de shock y ridículo entre los fans de Deicide. A pesar de esto, El álbum The Stench of Redemption recibió criticas positivas, y ha sido uno de los más vendidos de la banda.

El 20 de julio de 2007 fue anunciado que Ralph Santolla había dejado Deicide. Participó con la banda de Death metal Obituary. Santolla aparece en su último álbum "Xecutioner's Return" - reemplazando a Allen West - y estará de tour con ellos en soporte de este álbum.
