Sodom

Sodom es una banda Alemana formada en 1982 y es considerada como una pieza fundamental dentro del thrash al igual que Kreator y Destruction quienes en conjunto ayudaron enormemente a definir el sonido del Black Metal y del Death Metal.

Los primeros albums de Sodom eran una versión del thrash mas agresiva y con tintes satánicos, por lo que se ls considera como una inspiración para el Black Metal, pero mas tarde cambiarían sus letras e imagen hacia las guerras que han sucedido en el mundo.

Esta etapa de los 80's fue la mas prolifera en su carrera y de esta etapa se desprende a mi parecer el mejor disco de Sodom y uno de los mejores que hay en el thrash metal, por supuesto que hablo del legendario "Agent Orange" que inmortalizo a Sodom en las paginas de la historia del metal.

Después de esto vino una era de muchos cambios en la banda y de una búsqueda de un nuevo sonido que no agrado a muchas personas, un ejemplo especifico es el disco "Better Off Dead" que trata de copiar otros estilos como el de Megadeth pero honestamente lo hacen de una manera muy mala y nunca le agrado a los fans la idea de ese cambio hacia un sonido mas "comercial".

Esto es hasta el disco de "'Till Death Do Us Unite" en donde si ya antes estaban acercandose a su sonido original, aqui lo vuelven a adoptar totalmente y nos demuestran que el Thrash todavia sigue vivo.

Y finalmente tenemos a "The Final Signs Of Evil" el cual es una version modernizada de sus primeros Demos el cual a mi parecer es extremadamente bueno, ese sonido de la "old-school" sin mucha produccion es buenisimo.

Pues que mas les puedo decir, Sodom es una banda legendaria que no puede faltar en su coleccion, apesar de los altibajos en su carrera se han sabido mantener hasta el dia de hoy siguiendo fieles a su estilo.

Esta es una discografia bastante extensa asi que una recomendacion que les podría hacer es bajar el "Agent Orange" y después escoger algunos otros donde se muestren las imágenes de soldados y de guerra que no solo son los que tienen mejor portada si no también mejor sonido, como por ejemplo "M-16", "Persecutor Mania" y "Code Red".
